Did you miss me?

I started this blog October of 2009. Here we are, a mere two weeks away from October 2011, and you'll see there has been no action on this blog in the interim.

The blog is sexual frustrated. Poor thing.

In truth it saw a little action, but I've deleted those posts for a couple of reasons:
1. The stuff I wrote about was outdated... to say the least.
2. Because it's my blog and I can delete if I want to.

One of the posts I deleted was a short biography... a kind of "the things you should know before you start stalking my blog" if you will. Or maybe more of an intro to Amanda Faith. The basics de moi.... you get it.

While some of it was still very truthful, bits and pieces needed to be updated. So today, I'll reintroduce myself as Amanda Faith. I'll also recommit myself to this delicious little blog. Big things are happening in my life, so hopefully I have tons to post about. Let's get this party started!

Next up, the mini-biography.
  • I'm a redhead. That explains 99% of my life/personality/etc. right there.
  • I already lie about my age. Care to take a guess?
  • I believe in an amazing God and fail miserably at being a perfect follower of Christ regularly. But he loves me anyway, and that's what is important.
  • My mom, Cathy Waffy, is the most bomb-dot-com teacher in the WORLD. And I mean that literally! She taught in Korea, Japan, Germany, Arkansas AND Alabama. That takes talent, people. Plus she raised me, and I'm like... such a perfect kid. Props to her!
  • I'm an "only" child with 1 half-brother. We didn't meet until I was 18, which is also when I met my dad for the first time. Caleb is the best "new big brother" any girl could wish on a star for and my dad is quite the dude. We have tons of fun together and our similarities are mind-boggling.
  • I work in Communications. I do not want anything I say here to be reflective of my employer, so I'll leave that detail out. If you know me, you know I'm opinionated and outspoken (see first bullet point). This is my avenue of expression, not my employer's.
  • I love the color purple.
  • I graduated from Oklahoma State University with my BA in Public Relations. GO POKES!!! Time.Of.My.Life. I was a Kappa and couldn't replace or change a single second of the roller coaster ride that encompasses all the date parties, boys, girlfriends, Barn runs, nights on the strip, Rock Runs, Sangre Ranch, the Alamo, game days, mornings at Mom's, etc.
  • In High School I was part of a group of about 10 girls that were inseparable. Those 10 girls are beautiful, strong, creative, deep, silly, intelligent, mature, immature, ornery, and understanding. It makes me sad that our lives have taken us in different directions, but I know that each one of us would drop everything to help another out. I'm closer to some more than others, and have know a few since birth, but the relationships I have with those girls is incredibly important to me. Love you girls!!
  • The little things that make me happy: my vintage pink and purple cowboy boots, big sunglasses, summer dresses, Thanksgiving in Coal Hill, big ranches, Fort Worth, alfredo pizza #16 from my favorite pizza place in Germany, big trucks, really sexy heels, a good pair of jeans, bubble baths, limeys with a little bit of cherry, strawberry freezer jam from my Aunt P, blondie horses, baby piggies, baby moo moos, sunshine, sun-kissed shoulders and noses, good hair days, weddings, my Sissy's giggle, yoga, Christmas and Fall decorations, community involvement, strong home values, marriages that last, shopping, vacations, good books, quotes, open country, music, laughing as a workout, sleeping late, waking up really early, helping Brett work cattle, getting dirty, the Troops, fishing, boats, sweet kisses, office pranks, America, front porches, backroading, love, clean bathrooms, history, clean kitchens, architecture, empty laundry baskets, Thailand... this could go on forever...
  • All-time favorite activity: sleeping.
  • All-time favorite movie: Fried Green Tomatoes.
  • All-time biggest fear: mice. rodents. squirrels.
That's enough info for now. I'm sure you've enjoyed finding out those wonderful little details about me. See you next time, World Wide Web!
